The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz held talks with visiting Malaysian prime minister Mohamed Najib Abdul Razak. The meeting discussed cooperation between the two countries in all fields and ways of enhancing them in addition to the developments of incidents in the Islamic and international arenas were reviewed.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have declared Lebanon's Hezbollah militias, leaders, factions and organizations affiliated to them a terrorist organization.
The GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al- Zayani stated that the GCC states have taken this decision as a result of hostile acts being carried out by elements of those militias to recruit young people of GCC member states for carrying out terrorist acts, smuggling of weapons and explosives, and inciting sedition, disorder and violence in a flagrant violation of their sovereignty, security and stability.
Saudi Embassy to the Philippines announced today that Dr. Sheikh Ayed bin Abdullah Al-Qarni survived an assassination attempt in the Philippines.
A gunman emerged from a crowd well-wishers following a lecture at by Sheikh Al-Qarni at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga and opened fired at Sheikh Al-Qarni and his entourage, striking the sheikh in the arm. The Saudi embassy arranged for Sheikh Al-Qarni’s evacuation to Manila to complete his treatment. Sheikh Ayed Al-Qarni is reported in good health.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRELIEF) successfully carried out three rounds of airdrops for Taiz, Yemen, over the last three days, the center’s General Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, told reporters in Washington today. Dr. Al-Rabeeah said that Taiz had been the most difficult city for the international community to reach, but through airdrops and working with NGOs, the center was able to break the siege.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRELIEF) dispatched the third batch of relief supplies to Tajikistan for earthquake hit and flooded areas. The consignment contained 300 food baskets and 18 tons of coal.
Saudi Arabia today strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Mogadishu, Somali and the Afghan capital Kabul and city Asabadad.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation against the terrorist attacks that targeted the Somali capital Mogadishu, the Afghan capital Kabul and the city of Asadabad, in eastern Afghanistan.

The Saud Air Force fighter jets began arriving at the Incirlik Air Base on Friday. A Foreign Ministry today expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the dual terrorist bombing that targeted a market in the north of Cameroon, which resulted in killing and wounding scores of innocent people.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed the Kingdom's condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Cameroon, wishing the injured people a speedy recovery, reconfirming the Kingdom's firm position against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
