The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Campaign to Provide Humanitarian Relief to the Palestinian People in Gaza" has raised more than $32 million in donations to provide humanitarian relief to the people of Gaza.
Following the initial 11-hour fundraising period, the Campaign continues to receive donations from citizens and residents throughout the Kingdom.
The Campaign is part of a broader humanitarian effort by the Kingdom to provide humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people during this difficult time.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia launched “the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques Campaign to Provide Humanitarian Relief to the Palestinian People in Gaza.” This effort is a nationwide endeavor which is coordinated by a number of entities, including representative of the provincial governments, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and a number of other departments. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz initiated the fund with a donation of $8 million.

Kings Calls on Representatives of Major Faiths To Find Common Ground.
(MADRID, SPAIN) - Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, along with his host King Juan Carlos of Spain, has opened the World Conference on Dialogue by calling on the true believers of the world's leading faiths to defeat extremist viewpoints, find common cause and foster a spirit of peace. King Abdullah stated that major divisions among the faiths of the world were not caused by individual beliefs in God but by deviant viewpoints and misinterpretation.
(WASHINGTON, DC) - Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz a ministerial level meeting between oil producers and consumers is scheduled to take place in Jeddah on June 22, 2008.
Invitations were sent to ministers of energy in oil producing and consuming countries, international organizations such as the International Energy Agency, and major international energy companies.
The Jeddah meeting will address rising oil prices that are unjustified by market fundamentals and propose solutions for dealing with them.
(WASHINGTON, DC) – The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) once again issued an erroneous report about the Islamic Saudi Academy. The report contains mistranslated and misinterpreted texts, and references to textbooks that are no longer in use at the Academy.
The Islamic Saudi Academy has provided an excellent education for thousands of students in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Graduates of the Academy have been accepted at many top academic universities and colleges in the US.

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Saudi Arabia has extended a $100 million grant to Bangladesh to ease the suffering caused by the recent cyclone there. In addition to the grant, Saudi Arabia has airlifted urgent humanitarian aid into the country, including medical supplies, relief materials and foodstuffs. The Kingdom is the leading contributor in the global relief effort.
