An official source stated that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emanating from exercising its sovereign rights guaranteed by international law, to protect its national security from the dangers of terrorism and extremism, has decided to cut off diplomatic and consular relations with the State of Qatar.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a cable of condolences to British Prime Minister Theresa May following the terrorist attack that took place in London.  In his cable, King Salman strongly condemn the heinous criminal act and offered his deepest condolences.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today strongly condemned the attacks in London that killed and injured a number of people and offered its condolences to the families of the victims and to the British Government and people, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.  The Foreign Ministry reiterated the Kingdom's solidarity with the United Kingdom against terrorism and extremism which target security and stability around the world without exception.

An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the series of attacks in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, killing and wounding a number of people.  The source offered the Kingdom's condolences to the families of the victims and to the Afghan Government and people, wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Saudi Deputy Chief of Mission to the U.S. Sami Al-Sadhan this evening hosted the traditional Iftar for Arab and Muslim ambassador at the Saudi Embassy in Washington. The event was also attended by Muslim leaders and members of the Saudi community in Washington.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz welcomed President Donald J. Trump to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on May 20, 2017. This was the first time a U.S. president traveled to Saudi Arabia on his first foreign trip. The two countries engaged in a series of talks aimed at reaffirming and strengthening the longstanding Saudi-U.S. partnership. These talks resulted in the formulation of the Joint Strategic Vision Declaration, which ensured that both nations will dedicate themselves to strengthening their Strategic Partnership for the 21stCentury.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) launched on Monday a program to distribute 569,340 breaking-fast meals in Somalia during the holy month of Ramadan to ease the sufferings of the Somali people affected by drought in the previous years. The Center also launched a breaking-fast program in Abyan Governorate in Yemen to be distributed to 234,000 beneficiaries and also started a project in Myanmar.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) signed two projects with Turkey's Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) to provide fasting meals in Syria and Myanmar during the holy month of Ramadan.  The project will serve more than 296 thousand beneficiaries.
