Saudi Arabia has announced a donation of $66.7 million to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the World Health Organization (WHO) and their partners in response to the cholera outbreak in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia today strongly condemned bombings of a bank in Lashkar, Afghanistan, and a police station in Mogadishu, Somalia. 

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry offered the Kingdom’s condolences, reconfirming the Kingdom's solidarity and support for the two sisterly countries.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz today issued a number of royal orders, including the appointment of Prince Mohammed bin Salman as Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister. The Crown Prince will continue in his role as Minister of Defense and other missions assigned to him.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud was named as Minister of Interior, and Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Salem was appointed as Deputy Minister of Interior at the rank of Minister.

At the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Prime Minister of Republic of Iraq Haider Al-Abadi paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday, 24 Ramadan 1438 AH (19 June 2017).

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the meeting held by the Council of Ministers, on Monday evening at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah.

King Salman briefed the council on the results of his meeting with Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, Yemeni President Abdurbo Mansour Hadi, his talks with the Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abbadi and the phone calls received from Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Teresa May and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Nasser Bourita.

The Foreign Ministry today condemned the terrorist attack that took place on worshipers leaving the Finsbury Mosque in London yesterday.  In a statement, the Foreign Ministry offered its condolences to the families of the victims and UK government and people, and expressed his country's firm rejection of all forms of terrorism and extremism.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today rejected an offer by Turkey to set up a military base on Saudi territory.  In a statement carried the Saudi Press Agency, the Kingdom said it “cannot allow Turkey to establish military bases on its territories” and noted that the Kingdom has no need for this since its armed forces and military capabilities are at the best level and it has military presence in a number of countries, including the Incirlik Air Base.
