The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Makkah-based Muslim World League condemned the terrorist attacks on Mari Girgis (St. George's) Church in Tanta, Egypt, as a heinous crime against all Egyptians.
In a statement, the Secretary General of MWL Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Isa said attacks against places of worship go against the authentic Islamic religion and its teachings of tolerance, but fail to undermine the unity of the Egyptian people.
Both Islamic organizations reaffirmed their resolute stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
