His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made a phone call today to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

HE President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, expressed, in the beginning of the phone call, his congratulations to HRH the Crown Prince for his appointment as the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom for its vote for the UNGA resolution.

An official at the Foreign Ministry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stated that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has viewed the statements issued about the Kingdom following the OPEC+ decision announced on October 5, 2022, which have described the decision as the Kingdom taking sides in international conflicts and that it was politically motived against the United States of America.

HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will become the Kingdom’s Prime Minister and HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman will become Defense Minister, according to a Royal decree ordered by His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz today.

The Royal decree also saw the appointment of H.E Yousef bin Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Bunyan as Minister of Education.

His Majesty the King will chair the council of ministers if His Majesty is present.

Based on the priority given by HRH Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, and in continuation of HRH’s commitment to the humanitarian initiatives towards the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and resulting from HRH's continued engagement with the relevant countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the success of HRH’s mediation efforts that led to the release of ten prisoners of war (POWs) – who are Moroccan, US, UK, Swedish and Croatian nationals, who are being released as part of an exchange of POWs between Russia and Ukraine.

High-ranking officials from the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States of America held a virtual meeting yesterday (Monday), July 18, 2022, to discuss the situation in Yemen.

They welcomed the participation of the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, as a guest in the meeting, and they also welcomed the participation of David Grisley, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs for Yemen, to discuss the oil tanker "Safer".

On July 15, 2022, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held meetings with President Biden to reaffirm 80 years of strategic partnership, economic cooperation, and regional security. HRH the Crown Prince held a working meeting with President Biden and the two sides agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen their strategic partnership for the interest of both countries, and emphasized the pivotal role this historic partnership has played in promoting regional stability and prosperity.

The Saudi Ministers of Energy, Investment, Communications and Health have concluded 18 agreements with their US counterparts. The aforementioned agreements unlock new avenues for joint cooperation in investment, energy, ICT, space and health. The agreements align with Saudi Vision 2030, led by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as it seeks wider investment opportunities in promising sectors that can benefit the peoples of both nations.

At the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President Joseph R. Biden conducted an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia July 15-16, 2022. Following the meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, President Biden and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud, Deputy Prime Minister, held an official meeting, attended by senior officials from both sides.
