Defense Minister Inspects Military Units in Southern Region

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, Chief of the Royal Court and Special Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, arrived in Jizan yesterday on an inspection tour of military units in the Southern Region. During his tour, Prince Mohammed inspected the Advanced Operations Center and discussed the tasks of the center, the executed periodic military plans and tactics and the importance of boosting them in a manner compatible with the region. The defense minister’s inspection also included a visit to the tactical force which includes the rapid intervention forces of the 18th Brigade in the area, a station for wireless reconnaissance and electronic support, and the Luna drone system.
Prince Mohammed discussed with the commander ways to strengthen military action system in the region, and ordered the immediate start of the naval base in Jizan and the construction of buildings of the armed forces in Najran and the rapid completion of the construction of additional camps in Jazan and Najran in addition to the immediate beginning of the study and design of building additional housing units in Jizan and Najran and expansion of Jizan hospital.
