On March 23, 2018 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank. Discussions included the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s plans to diversify and develop its economy, to develop its human capital, and create an avenue for greater technological development and advancement, all of which Vision 2030 aims to accomplish.

On March 23, 2018 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Ms. Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund. Discussions focused on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the country’s strategic blueprint for economic diversification. The reforms within this Vision include diversifying the Kingdom’s economy, developing trade, investing more in technology, and human capital.

On March 23, 2018 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the United States' Secretary of Treasury, Secretary Steven Mnuchin.  During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of the Saudi-U.S. partnership. He noted the role this relationship will play within the development of the Kingdom’s transformational reform program, Vision 2030. The United States and the Kingdom share long- standing ties, including in the areas of trade and investments.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met today with Congressman  Will Hurd, Congressman George Holding, Congressman Brendan Boyle, and Congressman Michael Gallagher, continuing his official meetings with members of the U.S. Congress. The Crown Prince emphasized the historic, strategic, and institutional partnership between both nations.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Senators Dan Sullivan, Tom Cotton, Joe Manchin, and Lindsay Graham, part of his official meetings with prominent members of the U.S. government. These meeting emphasized the importance of communicating directly and openly with our partners in the U.S. Congress. The meetings further demonstrated that the Kingdom’s relationship with the United States is multidimensional. The Saudi-American partnership is historic and strategic, and it continues to grow and institutionalize.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met today with Republican and Democratic congressional leaders including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, House Majority Leader, the Senate Majority Whip, Chair and Ranking members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Chairs and Ranking members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Chair of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Chair of the House Committee on Homeland Security.

Resolution to the Conflict in Yemen

The Saudi-led Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen launched the Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations (YCHO), an expanded relief program that addresses the humanitarian situation in the immediate and long-term, one month ago today and the results are already tangible. The Saudi-led Coalition, in partnership with UN agencies, continues to prioritize the welfare of the Yemeni people in its efforts to restore peace and stability to Yemen.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the approval of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment's submission on bankruptcy legislation. The awaited Bankruptcy Law is the latest in structural developments in the Kingdom's business legal framework and is part of the overall reform efforts, under Vision 2030, to further facilitate a healthy business environment that encourages participation by foreign and domestic investors, as well as, local small and medium enterprises.
