President of the Saudi Arabian Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SACTA) Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met in Jeddah recently with a delegation from the U.S. Smithsonian Foundation. The Smithsonian officials, who are in charge of research centers and museums, are scheduled to visit the Kingdom’s central and eastern regions. During the meeting, Prince Sultan and the delegation discussed ways of promoting cooperation between the SACTA and the U.S. institution in the fields of research and museums. Last year, the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. hosted the “Saudi Archeological Masterpieces through the Ages” Exhibition.
