The GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al- Zayani stated that the GCC states have taken this decision as a result of hostile acts being carried out by elements of those militias to recruit young people of GCC member states for carrying out terrorist acts, smuggling of weapons and explosives, and inciting sedition, disorder and violence in a flagrant violation of their sovereignty, security and stability.

A gunman emerged from a crowd well-wishers following a lecture at by Sheikh Al-Qarni at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga and opened fired at Sheikh Al-Qarni and his entourage, striking the sheikh in the arm. The Saudi embassy arranged for Sheikh Al-Qarni’s evacuation to Manila to complete his treatment. Sheikh Ayed Al-Qarni is reported in good health.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRELIEF) successfully carried out three rounds of airdrops for Taiz, Yemen, over the last three days, the center’s General Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, told reporters in Washington today. Dr. Al-Rabeeah said that Taiz had been the most difficult city for the international community to reach, but through airdrops and working with NGOs, the center was able to break the siege.
