Saudi Arabia and Turkey today signed an agreement in Istanbul to form a coordination council to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The objective of the Saudi-Turkish Coordination Council is to enhance coordination between the two countries in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, banking, finance, maritime navigation, industry, energy, agriculture, culture, education, technology, military, military industries, security, media, television, and consular affairs.

The Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced in a statement today that it will observe a ceasefire in Yemen tonight in response to a call from Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi. The ceasefire began at midnight local time. In a statement, the coalition said it is committed to the ceasefire, but reserves the right to respond to any rebel attacks.
