Minister stresses benefit of Arabian Gulf union

The Minister of Economy and Planning, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jasser stressed today the importance of the steps undertaken by Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on the road to integration and economic unity. Minister Al-Jasser was hopeful that the remaining outstanding issues will be resolved soon to achieve the objectives of GCC integration and unity, as called for by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Dr. Al-Jasser said in a statement issued on the eve of the upcoming 33rd GCC Supreme Council Summit in Bahrain that the transition the GCC to a union is needed to preserve the entity of the Council and its development and give further momentum to the common development and interests of the GCC states.
