Saudi Committee launches first winter relief convoy in Afghanistan

In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, a relief convoy consisting of 20 trucks laden with 5,000 food basket was launched from Kabul heading towards Afghanistan’s Badakhshan State yesterday. The operation is being carried out by the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Afghan People, under the patronage of the Committee’s Supervisor General, Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz. The humanitarian aid will provide relief for the people of the region, which was struck by flooding last month.
