Symposium on family violence to be held in Tabuk

Princess Adela bint Abdullah, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Family Security Program, will open today a symposium on family violence, from a security and judicial perspective, Saudi Gazette reported today.

The symposium, titled “The Role of the Security and Judicial Institutions in Family Violence Cases”, will be held at the King Abdulaziz Charitable Society in Tabuk, in collaboration with the National Family Security Program and the Saudi Law Training Center. 

The symposium aims to create awareness on the issue family violence and prevention. 

Last May, the
second national experts’ forum on violence against women and children was held in Riyadh, which brought together private and public sectors in the fight against domestic violence and seek ways to deal with the problem.
