King Abdullah leaves for U.S.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz left Riyadh today for the United States to undergo medical treatment for a herniated disc and a blood clot. At Riyadh Air Base, the King was seen off by Crown Prince Sultan and a number of other senior officials. Before his departure, King Abdullah deputized the Crown Prince, who returned to Saudi Arabia yesterday following a vacation in Morocco, to administer the state’s affairs.
The official delegation accompanying the King includes Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saud; Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mansour bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz; Prince Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al-Saud; Prince Mansour bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah; Sheikh Misha’al Al-Rashid; Chief of the Royal Court Khalid Al-Tuwaijri; Chief of Royal Protocol Mohamed Al-Tobaishi; President of the King’s Special Affairs Ibrahim Al-Tasan; Commander of the Royal Guard Gen. Hamad Al-Owhali; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; and Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs and General Supervisor of Royal Clinics Dr. Bandar Al-Qanawy.
