Hundreds of medical personnel to monitor arriving pilgrims

Hundreds of medical staff are employed around the clock at King Abdul Aziz Airport’s 41 arrival halls at the Hajj Terminal to check arriving pilgrims for illnesses, specially the H1N1 flu virus, Saudi Gazette reported today.

The 950 doctors, nurses and technical staff will use thermal scanners to detect and treat a variety of illnesses as health precautions are tightened ahead of the increased influx of pilgrims expected over the coming days, the daily reported.
