Prince Khalid bin Sultan arrives in Washington for Strategic Joint Planning Committee meeting

Prince Khalid bin Sultan, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs, arrived this evening in Washington, DC for the Strategic Joint Planning Committee (JPC) meeting.

Prince Khalid was greeted by the at Andrews Air Force Base by Prince Nawwaf bin Khalid bin Sultan, Prince Fahd bin Khalid bin Sultan, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan; Joseph McMillan, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs; Chief of the U.S. Military Training Mission Saudi Arabia Gen. Paul Van Sickle; Saudi Deputy Chief of Mission Khaled Alanagri; Saudi Defense Attache Brig. Gen. Amin Shaker; and senior embassy officials and military officers.

The JPC aims to enhance interaction between the Saudi and the US militaries and to support the Kingdom’s efforts to upgrade its military capabilities.
