October 20, 2009

In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to provide humanitarian aid to flood victims in Niger, a Saudi relief plane arrived at Niamey Airport today. The plane was loaded with 114 tons of blankets, foodstuffs and medical supplies. The flooding, which centered on the city of Agadez, came about as a result of torrential rainfall.

Saudi Arabia last week sent 198 tons of dates to Niger.
