Egyptian President receives Saudi Foreign Minister

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met in Cairo yesterday with visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of key Arab and regional issues, in particular the status of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and the Arab Peace Initiative. Developments in Lebanon, Iraq and Sudan were also discussed. The meeting was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Nazir, and Saudi Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ahmed Kattan.
