Prince Saud leads delegation to U.N. session

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal is currently heading the Saudi delegation to the opening of the 65th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Prince Saud met on Sunday with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Greek Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas, and Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos. During the meetings, they discussed topics of common interest on the agenda of the General Assembly.
Yesterday evening, the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held their regular coordinating meeting on the sidelines of the General Assembly session.
Prince Saud also attended a ministerial meeting on Sunday at the invitation of U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in support of international relief efforts in the wake of devastating floods in Pakistan.
