Prince Muhammad bin Nayef slightly injured in terrorist attack

Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Prince Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz received minor injuries last night after a terrorist blew himself up at the Prince’s residence in Jeddah, according to a statement released by the Royal Court. The bomber, identified as a terror suspect who indicated a desire to turn himself in to Prince Muhammad, was going through security to enter a gathering of Ramadan well-wishers when he detonated an explosive device strapped to his body. Shortly after the incident, Prince Muhammad was taken to the hospital, where he was examined, treated for minor injuries and released. While at the hospital he received a visit from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who came to inquire about his health. No one else was hurt in the attack, which took place at 11:30pm local time.
