King Abdullah holds talks with visiting Jordanian King

Jordan’s King Abdullah II arrived yesterday in Makkah, where he performed Umrah rituals. Afterwards, he traveled to Jeddah and was received at the royal palace by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who threw a dinner party in the Jordanian King’s honor. Then the two monarchs held talks regarding developments in the Arab, Islamic and international arenas, focusing primarily on the Palestinian issue. Strategies for improving bilateral relations were also discussed.
On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz; Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz; Advisor to the King Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz; Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Zenal; and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Fahd Al-Zaid. On the Jordanian side, the meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein; Chief of Royal Court Nasser Al-Louzi; Al-Shareef Fawaz bin Zben Abdullah; and other senior officials.
Jordan’s King Abdullah departed Saudi Arabia today, after being seen off at the airport by the Saudi monarch.
