July 19, 2010

Iraqi Health Minister Dr. Salih Al-Hasnawi has expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who earlier this month ordered the transfer of a pair of Iraqi conjoined twins to Saudi Arabia for separation surgery. The girls, Zainab and Ruqiyyah, were transported from their home in the Iraqi city of Najaf to the King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh. Last week a specialized team, led by Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, successfully completed the operation. The Iraqi Health Minister commended the King for the personal attention he gave to the girls’ case and praised the quality of Saudi health care.
