Makkah Governor washes Holy Kaaba

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Makkah Governor Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz washed the holy Kaaba today. During the annual ritual, the Governor and his companions wiped the inner walls of the Kaaba with pieces of cloth wet with a mixture of zamzam water and rose water. The group of washers included Prince Sultan bin Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz; Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu; General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais; Vice General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque Sheikh Mohammed Alkhozaim; and a number of ministers, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, heads of government departments, attendants of the Holy Mosque and a group of citizens.
