Energy ministers begin arriving for Jeddah summit

Energy ministers have begun arriving in the Kingdom in advance of tomorrow’s oil summit in Jeddah.

Arriving today were US Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping, Bahraini Minster of Oil and Gas Abdulhusayn Mirza, Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Kazakh Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bolat Akchulakov, South Korean Minister of Knowledge Economy Lee Youn-ho, Australian Minister of Resources and Energy Martin Ferguson, and Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hilmi Güler.

Representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Norway, the Netherlands, Brazil, Austria, Libya and Italy also arrived today. Canadian Minister of Natural Resources Gary Lunn arrived yesterday.
