King Abdullah holds talks with King Juan Carlos of Spain

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met with King Juan Carlos of Spain for talks in Jeddah last night.

The two leaders discussed regional and international issues as well as ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation. Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz and Governor of Makkah Province Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also attended the meeting.

A number of bilateral agreements were signed, including an agreement on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment and tourism cooperation.

Prior to departing Jeddah today, King Juan Carlos also met with Minister of Interior Prince Nayef, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs Prince Khalid bin Sultan and Amr Al-Dabbagh, Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

The Spanish monarch’s visit to Saudi Arabia is the final leg of an Arabian Gulf tour aimed at boosting economic links and strengthening cooperation. In addition to Saudi Arabia, King Juan Carlos also visited the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
