Saudi Committee sends aid to Afghans affected by floods, landslides

In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Afghan People has provided food and relief aid to victims of the disastrous floods and landslides that recently hit northern Afghanistan. Yesterday, the Saudi Embassy in Kabul signed a memorandum of understanding with the Afghan Red Crescent to distribute the aid provided by the Saudi Committee. The Afghan officials attending the signing ceremony thanked the Kingdom and its leader for this humanitarian initiative, noting the Saudi Arabia has always been at the forefront of efforts to aid Afghanistan. In his own statement, Saudi Ambassador to Afghanistan Misfer bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghasib praised the efforts of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Afghan People.
