Shura Council approves agreements with France, UK, Turkey

The Shura (Consultative) Council today approved an agreement with France on oil, gas and mineral cooperation. It also approved agreements between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom and Turkey, respectively, on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion.

The Council also reviewed draft regulations related to real estate financing and authorized amendments to the Officer Service System.

In related news, the Shura Council’s Assistant Chairman Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Barak met with a US congressional commission delegation in Riyadh today. They discussed Saudi-US relations as well as ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Minister of Social Affairs Abdulmohsen Al-Akkas also met with the US delegation to discuss bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
