King Abdullah launches education projects in Dammam, Dhahran

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz laid the foundation stone for a university hospital and the new campus of King Faisal University in Dammam today.

In Dammam, King Abdullah also launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques electronic linkage system, which connects the Ministry of Higher Education with educational attache offices.

Also today, the King inaugurated the first phase of projects at the King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) university city in Dhahran and laid foundation stones for the second phase.

Signing the KFUPM guest book, King Abdullah highlighted the importance of education to the Kingdom’s development.

“We look at higher education as one of the most important pillars to achieve the development of our country, increase the efficiency of our youth and prepare them for the future,” he wrote.
