The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington opened its doors on today to the public, offering cultural and educational activities as part of the third annual Passport DC cultural tourism program. More than 1,800 people attended this year's events.
The event featured a slideshow presentation about the Kingdom, Saudi coffee and dates, Kabsa, a traditional Saudi meal, Henna art, Saudi music and folk dancing. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the history, development and culture of Saudi Arabia, while enjoying displays, exhibitions and live performances. Staff members of the Embassy and the Cultural Attaché Office, along with a number of Saudi students, were on hand to guide visitors through the various displays.
