No injuries in attack against Saudi Consulate in Karachi

A terrorist attack against the Saudi Consulate in Karachi has resulted in no injuries and only minor damages to the premises, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid reported in Riyadh yesterday. The incident, which is currently being investigated by Pakistani authorities, occurred when two unidentified individuals hurled two grenades at the Consulate. Prince Khalid said that the Saudi government has full confidence in the competence and capability of the Pakistani government to bring the perpetrators to justice and to provide protection for the Saudi mission in Pakistan. In a press statement, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdulaziz Al-Ghadeer condemned the attack, characterizing it as a terrorist act.
