Arab League foreign ministers hold urgent meeting on Lebanon, Sudan

Arab League foreign ministers held an emergency meeting in Cairo today to address the crisis in Lebanon. The Saudi delegation was led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.

During the meeting, the foreign ministers discussed the deteriorating situation in Lebanon and the Arab League’s initiative to resolve the political crisis there.

They also discussed the situation in Sudan at the request of Sudanese Acting Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Kerti. Yesterday, rebels from Darfur launched an attack on Khartoum.
