Saudi missions in Egypt reopen

Ahmed Kattan, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the Arab League, has returned to Cairo and will resume his duties today as the Saudi Embassy reopens. In a statement made upon arrival, Ambassador Kattan noted that Saudi-Egyptian relations have been consolidated over the past few days as a result of high level official contacts. The Saudi Consulates in Alexandria and Suez were also reopened.
Ambassador Kattan received Cairo Governor Dr. Abdulqawi Khalifa and Giza Governor Dr. Ali Abdulrahman today, during which the officials stressed the depth of Saudi-Egyptian relations. Furthermore, Commander-in-Chief of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi has expressed his appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for his decision to reopen the Saudi missions in Egypt.
