President Bush to visit Saudi Arabia in May

April 29, 2008

President George W. Bush will visit Saudi Arabia in mid-May to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formal establishment of Saudi-US relations, the White House announced yesterday.

The visit is part of a Middle East trip that will take President and Mrs. Bush to Israel, Saudi Arabia and Egypt from May 13-18.

In January 2008, President Bush paid a three-day state visit to Saudi Arabia, where he met with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for talks on key issues including the Middle East peace process, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and counterterrorism.
