Crown Prince holds talks with U.S. Secretary of Defense

Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz held a meeting at his palace in Riyadh this evening with visiting U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and an accompanying delegation. During the talks, Secretary Hagel conveyed the greetings of U.S. President Barack Obama and confirmed the depth of the historic relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia. Then, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation and reviewed the latest regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Defense Minister Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed; Chief of the Crown Prince’s Court Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir; Chief of the General Staff Gen. Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Gabil; Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Gen. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan; Commander of the Air Force Gen. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ayesh; and Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Washington Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al-Gahtani.
Crown Prince Salman also hosted a reception and dinner in honor of Secretary Hagel and the U.S. delegation. The event was attended by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud; and a number of other senior officials.
