Prince Turki visits Cornell University

Prince Turki Al-Faisal, President of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, delivered a lecture at Cornell University on Thursday entitled "What We Expect from America: A Saudi Perspective."

Speaking after a tour of the Ithaca, New York campus, Prince Turki stressed the depth and strength of Saudi-U.S. relations, which have always been based on respect and common interests. He highlighted the significant roles being played by both countries at the regional and international levels.

Prince Turki also met with Cornell President Dr. David Skorton to discuss ways of deepening educational cooperation. He praised the Center for Joint Studies, a cooperative endeavor between King Abdullah University for Science and Technology and Cornell, funded by a grant from King Abdullah University for Study of Energy Research, Nanotechnology, and Sustainable Development.
