King Abdullah receives messages from leaders of Yemen, Qatar

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received a message today from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The message was delivered by Yemeni Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr Al-Qurbi.

King Abdullah received a second message today from Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifah Al-Thani, delivered by Qatari Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ali Al-Mahmood.  On April 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal paid a brief visit to Qatar for talks with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem Al-Thani.

In related news, King Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain met with Prince Mishaal bin Abdulaziz in Manama today. Prince Mishaal serves as Chairman of the Allegiance Commission, which was established as part of a new law of succession in October 2006 to formalize the royal succession and ensure a smooth transfer of power.
