Shura Council briefed on Kingdom’s agriculture policy

The Shura (Consultative) Council held a regular session in Riyadh yesterday under the chairmanship of Dr. Saleh bin Homaid.


The session was attended by Minister of Agriculture Dr. Fahd Balghunaim, who briefed the Council on the Kingdom’s agriculture policy, in particular the cultivation of wheat and the privatization of the General Organization of Grain Silos and Flour Mills. The Council also approved draft agreements on vocational training with Italy and Great Britain.

During a regular session today, the Shura Council approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on health cooperation with Italy.  It was also briefed on a Council delegation’s participation in a recent meeting of the International Parliamentary Federation in South Africa.
