Crown Prince chairs Cabinet

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz chaired the weekly Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today.  Crown Prince Sultan began the meeting by praising the outcome of the visit to Bahrain by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his meeting with King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.  Crown Prince Sultan also applauded King Abdullah’s SR 1 billion ($267 million) donation on behalf of the Saudi people to establish a medical city affiliated with the Arab Gulf University in Bahrain.

The Cabinet condemned Israeli actions to expel thousands of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank and praised last week’s Nuclear Security Summit as a step in the right direction to prevent nuclear materials from falling in the hands of terrorist organizations.  The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom's call for a Middle East and the Arab Gulf regions free of weapons of mass destruction, particularly nuclear weapons.

The Cabinet praised the formation of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy which it said will promote development and provide necessary materials for medical, agricultural and health research.
