KSU, U.S. Bascom Palmer Eye Institute sign joint cooperation accord

The Rector of King Saud University (KSU), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Miami, Dr. Pascal Goldschmidt, recently signed a joint cooperation agreement between the KSU Department of Ophthalmology and the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. The signing ceremony, which took place in Miami, was attended by Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Obaidan, the head of the Ophthalmology Department of the KSU Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Al-Obaidan explained that the agreement aims to develop a research partnership between the two schools, noting that the Bascom Institute is one of the most prominent institutes of ophthalmology in the world and has been classified seven years in a row as the best center specializing in ophthalmology in the United States.
