April 5, 2009

Saudi Cultural Attaché and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Student Clubs (SSC) in the United States Dr. Mohammed Al-Eissa inaugurated the Board’s 27th meeting at SSC headquarters at Nebraska University in Lincoln last night. Participants included nearly 85 SSC presidents from across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Al-Eissa stressed the important role played by the SSC in representing Saudi students and briefing others on the history, civilization and heritage of Saudi Arabia.

The participants welcomed the decision by Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel A. Al-Jubeir to establish a committee for supporting Saudi students clubs at American universities.

The previous day, Dr. Al-Eissa and Lincoln Mayor Chris Beutler opened a Saudi heritage and culture exhibition organized by SSC members at the University of Nebraska campuses in Lincoln and Omaha. The exhibition will soon embark on cross-country tour.
