Prince Sultan accepts award in Algiers for disability center

President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is Chairman of the Boards of Directors of the Prince Salman Center for Disability Research and Disabled Children’s Association, accepted a prize in Algiers yesterday for the center’s efforts to assist the disabled. During a ceremony before held before Parliament, Prince Sultan was given Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s Award for Arab Pioneers for Empowering Disabled Persons. The prize included $20,000, which Prince Sultan donated to disabled associations in Algeria.

The Prince Salman Center for Disability Research was established by the Disabled Children’s Association in 1995 with a grant from Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz. More than 100 founders established endowments worth more than $150 million for the center.
