Bahraini King receives Prince Saud bin Nayef

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa received Eastern Province Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz at Al-Rawdha Palace in Manama yesterday. King Hamad welcomed Prince Saud, hailing the historic relations binding their countries and commending Saudi Arabia for its strong advocacy of Gulf, Arab, and Islamic causes. For his part, Prince Saud conveyed the greetings and well-wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz to King Hamad and the Bahraini people.
The audience was held in the presence of Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Prince Saud held a separate meeting today with the Bahraini Prime Minister at Riffa Palace in Manama. During the discussion, Prince Khalifa lauded Saudi Arabia’s support for Bahrain and expressed his country’s wish to further cement ties with all the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He commended the proposal of King Abdullah to move the GCC from the phase of cooperation to the creation of a union. Prince Saud characterized Saudi-Bahraini relations as an unchangeable pillar and welcomed Prince Khalifa’s commitment to promoting GCC unity.
