Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Sabah arrived in Riyadh today to participate in a mini summit called for by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. |

Each of the three leaders were welcomed at Riyadh Air Base by King Abdullah and a number of top Saudi officials, including Acting Riyadh Governor Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz; Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal; Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz; and Minister of Education Prince Faisal bin Mohammed Al Saud. President Assad was accompanied by Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem; Political and Information Advisor to the President Dr. Buthaina Shaaban; and Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Faisal Mekdad. President Mubarak’s delegation included Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit; Chief of General Intelligence Omar Suleiman; and Head of the Office of the Presidency Dr. Zakaria Azmi. The Kuwaiti delegation included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabah; Director of the Office of the Emir Ahmad Al-Fahd; Chief of Emiri Protocols Sheikh Khalid Al-Sabah; and Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Khalid Al-Jarallah. |
