Conference on promotion of moderation by Arab universities concluded

A conference on the role of Arab universities in promoting the principles of moderation to Arab youth was concluded at Madinah-based Taibah University yesterday. After four days of deliberations involving several sessions, the participants recommended the establishment of an international center on moderation in cooperation with various institutions. They called upon universities to establish national research centers focused on extremism among youths and stressed the importance of correctly teaching the true principles of Islam. Finally, they advised Arab governments to solve the economic problems of youths by fighting poverty and creating jobs.

At the conclusion of the conference, the participants expressed their thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz for their support for education and research.
