Ministry of Interior calls for return of fighters, releases list of extremist groups

The Ministry of Interior released a statement today clarifying the royal order issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz banning participation in foreign conflicts and supporting extremist groups. It announced a 15-day grace period for Saudis taking part in hostilities outside of the Kingdom to return home.

Furthermore, the statement listed the entities that have thus far been classified as extremist groups. They include: Al-Qaida, Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, Al-Qaida in Yemen, Al-Qaida in Iraq, Da’ish, Al-Nusra Front, Hezbollah in the Kingdom, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Al-Houthi.
