Tabuk Border Guard rescues missing Polish sailor

Jan Lesoweski, 42, a Polish sailor who disappeared due to bad weather and high waves in international waters in the Red Sea while sailing alone from Egypt towards the Saudi port of Dhuba on Friday, was rescued today by a Saudi team of Border Guards from Tabuk Province, King Faisal Airbase in the North Western Sector and Saudi Aramco Aviation.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Thimali, Commander of Tabuk Province, said that after more than 40 hours of searching by the joint Saudi rescue team, the missed sailor was pinpointed in international waters off Dhuba, picked up by a rescue boat, transferred to a chopper and finally rushed to Dhuba hospital, where doctors described his condition as stable.
