Foreign minister briefs the Shura Council on key regional issues

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told the Shura (Consultative) Council today that the Saudi-US relationship is a strategic one that is based on supporting mutual interests and issues of concern.


Prince Saud attended the session to brief the Shura Council on the Foreign Ministry’s performance report for fiscal years 2005 and 2006 as well as the Kingdom’s foreign policy.

The foreign minister also discussed Saudi Arabia’s efforts to stabilize the situations in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon as well as the upcoming Arab Summit.
