The sixth plane in a Saudi airlift to Tajikistan was dispatched to Dushanbe
today. The plane carried just over eight tons of relief assistance, including
blankets, carpets and foodstuffs.
The Saudi airlift to Tajikistan began February 17 to aid people affected by severe cold weather there. In total, eight planes are expected to deliver 80 tons of relief supplies.
The Saudi relief package to Tajikistan also includes a $10 million grant, on the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
