The second plane in a Saudi airlift was dispatched to Tajikistan today to aid people affected by severe cold weather. The plane carried 11.5 tons of relief assistance, including blankets, carpets and foodstuffs.
The first plane in the airlift arrived in Dushanbe February 17. In total, the
airlift is expected to deliver 80 tons of relief supplies.
The Saudi relief
package to Tajikistan also includes a $10 million grant, on the directives of
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
